Decembers Market Money....

We're very proud to announce the next Artist to collaborate with the Auckland Art & Craft Fair, designing the December Fairs Market Money will be the talented Flox from the Cut Collective.

Each Fair we invite an artist to design our money for us, we think that it makes our event pretty special and it's something that says a lot about the kind of event we are putting together.

We're very excited to see what Flox puts together. Check out some of her work below:

Applications are Open!

That's right, applications are officially open for the December Auckland Art & Craft Fair. Please take note of the important dates below:

Applications Open: Friday 17th September
Applications Close: Monday 17th October at 4pm

There will only be one round of applications for the December Fair.

You can either complete the application form on-line, or you can download the form to print and post in here. Before you begin the application, please ensure you read, in full the terms and conditions as this contains important information that you will need to know if this is your first time applying, and important new information for those that have already applied.

The Auckland Art & Craft Fair is a unique event for Auckland and we are looking for quality, creative and individual works for the Fair that are well designed and well crafted from all over New Zealand.

Applications....

As you can see from the lovely little button to your right, applications will be opening on Friday 17th of September — that's this Friday!

Applications will be open for a limited period of time (as usual) and we will be holding only ONE round of applications. For the December Fair, we will be offering two ways to apply; either totally on-line or you can print off the form and post it in to us. Easy peasy!

Auckland Art & Craft Fair has a New Home!

That's right.... we had some great feedback after our very first event from our sellers and customers. The consensus was that it was a great event, every seller there was of the highest calibre and the venue was gorgeous — but, it was a little small. When we were planning the event so chose our venue accordingly, something that was a decent size but not too large as we had no idea how many people would actually come. We knew it would be successful, but we estimated our visitor numbers would be a little lower — we couldn't have asked for a more successful event and we are so grateful to everyone that came along on the day.

After scouring Auckland for the perfect venue we have settled on the beautiful Aotea Centre, THE EDGE right in the centre of the city. The square has been having lots of upgrades this past year and they're finishing up this October. The space we have is right inside the main doors, that the large steps lead up to in the BNZ Foyer. It's a gorgeous space with super high ceilings, wonderful natural light and plenty of room.

The Aotea Centre, THE EDGE has been home to lots of prestigious events such a performances by top theatre companies and of course more recently, the awesome design Mecca, Semi-Permanent. We felt that the Auckland Art & Craft Fair would feel right at home!

The date has been confirmed as the 11th of December 2010 with new, extended hours of 11am to 4pm as there will be plenty more to see.
